The oil light comes on because it has to fill the filter first as if you just did an oil change.

Well I did some more research and messing around

If i start the car up it will fill the filter up with oil, and if i turn it off and turn it back on even after 10 min the light will go right off. ...

So I have been having a strange issue, I went to do an oil change and noticed the oil filter was bone dry. I replaced the filter and oil, turned on the car and checked and the filter after the car...

This is on fresh oil yes. I made sure to drain every bit of the old oil out.

When i received the motor it was laying on its back so all that oil and stuff was going right to the sensor.

I used ATF in that hone, the block im using is trash its just for practice really. 3in 240 grit flex hone would be what I would use? I think the cuts are deep cause the 3 stone hone from...

Will a flex hone remove surface rust? I have some rust in my hope to be good block. It does not seem like theres any pitting.

I am trying to learn how to hone using the 3 stone hone rented from auto zone. I am using a block that is bad to learn on before I do it on my good block. Does this look ok?

Well the guy I got it from said there was not a lot of miles, it just ran with low oil and killed a rod bearing. and the top of the cylinder has no kind of lip from wear. So i have hopes it has...

So I am trying to stay away from boring out if any all possible. I got this block free and it has rust in the cylinders, I noticed what is looks like some light pitting. I can barely feel them...
