Yes, the oil control jet comes out. There is an o-ring that holds it in. If you are going to buy a new jet, you might as well get new dowels as well. They can get kind of cruddy and weak.

FWIW - An aftermarket brake Mfgr. told me once to look at the markings on the side of the pad material on the shoes. If the marking has an "FF" in it then it is the "best" compound availible for...
