Re: Skunk2 Pro1 B-series Cam Install

Ok, if you don't want to be a smart ass, where does it state that cam gears are needed and that the cams are to be degreed on the instructions that cam with the cams. Everything you just wrote...

Re: Skunk2 Pro1 B-series Cam Install

The FAQ section of the site is not the appropriate place for information that states a product is not a drop in. It should be by the product description or requirements. Thanks for pointing out...

Re: Skunk2 Pro1 B-series Cam Install

This is wonderful to see how everyone likes to criticize. Try installing these cams before making statements. I have installed many different many cams in the past. I am no mechanic, but I've been...

Skunk2 Pro1 B-series Cam Install

This is just an FYI for everyone who sets out to install these cams. You MUST use cam gears in order to install these cams. I learned a hard lesson this past weekend. These cams must be degreed in...

Re: turned the boost up to 28psi...

Those numbers look great. What is the rev limit? It almost looks like 7800. If so, why such a low limit? If you have valvetrain components to rev higher, why not. I'm sure you would make way...

Re: Overheating

Your main problem with the temp rising on the highway is due to airflow to the rad. The bumper for the EF is only sufficient for a NA setup. You need to cut out parts arount the intercooler to...

Re: Weak spark cylinder 1 only?? ...turbo sleeved ls/vtec

It is definitely an ignition problem. If he can't get a steady spark to set the timing, then it has to do with ignition system. The motor compression will not affect setting the timing. I hope...

Re: Oil pump broken (x2)

The Unorthodox pulley is a good concept on paper, not with boost. That is your problem. The rotation of the bottom end is out of harmony. For a NA motor, that pulley may work well, but with all...

Re: Speedfactory A/C Kit on stock internal GSR

Update: The motor has been doing wonderfully since the tune. I have driven the car just about every other day and hit full boost at least once a day, just to be sure that everything is still in...

Re: Weak spark cylinder 1 only?? ...turbo sleeved ls/vtec

You have a lot more to try. You should get a set of plug wires with a distributor from a proper running motor, swap yours out and see.

You should change the distributor cap and rotor (not clean...

Re: Speedfactory A/C Kit on stock internal GSR

Update: This weekend I drove @100 miles on the highway with the A/C on, in mid 80 degree weather while maintaining 75mph. It did pretty good. Just when going up steep inclines, the temp would get...

Re: Speedfactory A/C Kit on stock internal GSR

The fan is a 14" Zirgo 2122 CFM fan. There is a little trimming that has to be done in order to accommodate the placement of the turbo. I am currently pleased with the temps at this point. The...

Re: Speedfactory A/C Kit on stock internal GSR

Update: This weekend I removed the front bumper. I trimmed some of the underside of the bumper, just behind the license plate mounting holes. I also removed the bumper foam.

I took a highway...

Re: Speedfactory A/C Kit on stock internal GSR

The tune was done on a dynapack.

The airflow is definitely blocked by the intercooler, and the condenser. The USDM bumper is not helping the situation. So, I will make some cuts to the bumper...

Re: Speedfactory A/C Kit on stock internal GSR

I do not see any room for a filter at this time. My catchcan is in the place of where a filter would probably fit.

I am currently having cooling issues if the ambient temp passes 85 degrees. I...
