If the valve was not functioning the compressor would not turn on. I don't believe this is your problem. Also the guy who filled up your car with freon would have noticed the pressures were way off.

technically, no it doesn't void the warranty, there are some court cases that back this too. However it's really at the discretion of Honda, if they decide your part affects the way the engine runs...

Most of the cabin noise comes from the intake, the stock air box is about 2 feet from the driver. I really doubt he is hearing much of any exhaust note. Perhaps this car has an HFP muffler on it?...

Get Bendix Import Quiet Pads, they don't make any noise, very low dust, just as good if not better than OEM. All other brands, are noisey and make lots of dust.
As for Rotors Bendix are good, but...
