You takin it racing? OBD-2 -> 1 conversions are illegal. apart from that, lookup the service manuals and see if the ecu talks to the tcu.

I would double-check the position of everything. If the balance shaft is off a few notches, it will probably cause additional vibrations. Don't just yank the belt off though, it drives the water...
