unbolt the master cyl from the booter gently move out of the way remove altenator reverse procedure for re install.

you must be running way to lean it will cause the motor to run hotter. i think it is lean . do you have a vaccum leak? basically to much air not enough fuel

before taking things apart go to a parts store buy a can of engine shampoo, go to car wash wash motor drive for a few days the see exactly where your leak is.

What kind of tires? got a shimmy in the steering wheel? Tires might be starting to seperate(cords inside the tire) run your hand over the front tires feel for high spot in the tread.

shouldn't make a big difference. ecu not getting a signal it should take reading fron your ect so you shouldn't be way rich or way lean.

loosen the master cyl. of the fire wall then gently move it out of the way (without breaking the brake lines.) then pull the alt. out and replace it. re install the master cyl.

If you have luke warm air t-stat could be stuck open but then your car would't over heat. Check the heater hoses. If one is hot and the other isn't you have a pluged heater core. If both are warm...

A compression won't necessarily mean you aren't burning oil. You should do a leak down test and check your valve seals.
