Re: I'm Stumped

Im assuming you reset the ecu to clear the code. Everything is plugged in correctly? If you know the new IACV is not faulty I would suspect a short in the wiring. Im on my phone right now so i...

Re: 94 Accord LX Oil in Coolant Reservoir

You need to ensure the head is not warped and if it is have it milled flat. There's a procedure for it in the service manual using a precision straight edge and feeler gauge. You should also check...

Re: 94 Accord LX Oil in Coolant Reservoir

Its probably a blown head gasket. Doing a leak down test would be a good idea. Is there coolant in the oil? Chocolate milk shake under the oil cap?

Re: Removing AC What belt do I need?

I used to have a 97 lx and for certain reasons I had to run it with no AC compressor. I used an Accord DX belt. I've never seen an Accord DX before but they didn't come with AC and were probably...

Re: 99 Honda accord overheating, help!

The way I would do it is to have the front of the car slightly jacked up, remove radiator cap, turn heater on full blast, and turn the car on. Then you keep the radiator topped off while waiting for...

Re: few questions about buying junkyard motor

Yeah I would have got an hmotors engine. In fact I did last month but it was about 800 shipped, f22 non vtec. The engine looked almost brand new. All I replaced was the timing belt. Zero oil...

Re: 99 Honda accord overheating, help!

Does it always do it or only when the car is cold? If it does it only cold I would suspect you're not burping the system properly. if it always does its probably a vacuum leak.

Re: Crankshaft or Timing Belt?

Hahaha.... Mordor...

Anyways on topic. Was the code a P1362? If so its referring to the TDC sensor which I think is in the distributor?

Re: What is this part connected to my motor mount.

I think its a vacuum actuator like on a wasteagte. I think only automatic cars have it. I have a 95 lx wagon I just did a manual transmission swap on and the auto mount was like that but my rear...

Re: [problem] Fuel filter replacement - '96 CE2 F20B3

90-93 Accord doesn't have the same fuel filter placement as the 94-97. The 94-97 is a PITA. I did it with the engine out of the car.

There's an FAQ at the top of this section. In it there is a...

Re: Engine oil overshooting drainpan

Get a longer drain pan. Hold the drain pan up while taking the plug out and position it as the oil drains. It's not rocket science.

Re: A/C question about vacuum pumps 2.5 vs 3 CFM

I don't understand. It's not the flow of the pump that boils off moisture, it's the vacuum... Right? Why would it matter how many CFM it flows if it is capable of pulling a vacuum through the...

Re: Heellllpppp!!! Timing Belt issues.

He says he got a new belt and tensioner. Let's hope you didn't bend any valves.

The timing belt is not suppose to be tensioned as much as a serpentine belt. It will be significantly more loose...

Re: 94 accord LX staying running problems

So you have. What about plug wires, and cap and rotor? You could also test the igniter. There's like a trouble shooting flow chart and resistance specs in the helms service manual.

Re: straight anti freeze in radiator

Straight anti freeze does not cool better than properly mixed coolant. Water cools better than antifreeze but it has a higher freezing temperature, a lower boiling temperature, and no corrosion...

Re: Car shuts off after adjusting valves

How long did it run after the timing belt install prior to adjust the valves?

Have you checked the timing marks on the crank pulley and cam gear? I would check them and adjust belt tension.
