Vitara build to start, what to expect?

Here is my setup, Eagle H-beams, Vitara 75.5, D16z6 block and head, block and girlde both knotched.

Also have a 59300 cam, and BWR valve springs.

MSD 6al and blaster coil.

Running OBD1...

A little background on my project. EF hatch, D16z6, 75.5mm Vitaras, Eagle H beams, Zex 59300 cam, upgraded valve springs(still dont have any), just wondering if stock retainers and keepers are fine...

kinda late but check the ignitor in your distributor, 99% sure thats the problem.

Mini me question, z6 head A6 block

Just did this for the first time, used a new Z6 timing belt, fit very tight, normal? Right belt used? Runs and drives fine.

Like the starter wont turn over or the engine wont start?

Pull the plugs out... Pour a little ATF down in the cylinders, maybe from sitting for a while it may help compress. Worked for me this...

lol, i have ran vtec to a switch before, and would never do it again. Its like a 10 shot of nitrous. lol

I have run obd1 ever since that time, and p28 is the way to go, have done it a few times,...

I would recommend checking the cylinder position sensor wires at the ecu. It has to be the wiring at the ECU. How long ago was the car running? Did you just MPFI the og stock DX motor, or did you...

Cutting and soldering sucks...

I would recommend repinning, but thats too late.

Anyway, are you getting spark?

Are the injectors getting voltage?

If thats all good, then double check...

Like the title says, need a running Z6, even a Y8. no intake manifold needed, just block and head. Distributor is a plus, but not needed.
