Re: Buzzing Noise on 2003 RSX type S

Mine would start at about 2800 RPM and stop around 3200 if I remember correctly.
Very RPM specific. I 'repaired' it a few years ago by bending it slightly. So far so good.

Re: Buzzing Noise on 2003 RSX type S

If it's a high pitch screechy type of noise, the half shaft heat shield would be the likely culprit.

Re: Lower Cat Heatshield fell off, now I'm getting warning lights

Your alternator and speedometer problems are directly related to a blown fuse caused by the O2 sensor wires shorting.

Sorry, I don't recall which fuses are involved.

Re: Automatic Shut down

Your 1994 Integra shut down because you ran it with little or no oil.
Might have seized the engine.

Re: Car getting no electrical power and battery gets hot

The wires on the cooling fan switch would have melted before the battery started "burning".

Valve cover ground needs to be grounded. Removing it only reduced the amount of current you were...

Re: Bad Alternator?

Very BAD advice. Never disconnect the battery while the engine is running. You risk a voltage spike that can cause all sorts of trouble.

Re: motor oil in transmission?

LOL

10W30 is fine and what was originally spec'd.
I switched to Honda MTF and thought it made enough of an improvement to warrant the extra cost.

Re: Help with blowing 20amp Wiper Washer Fuse

It's possible the wire for the rear motor get hot enough to melt the insulation. I would have expected the fuse to go first

If the wire is part of a harness, it could have melted adjacent wire...

Re: Mechanic said Ebay Intake = blowing hot air into Cabin??? o.O?

I think something was lost in the translation.

What the mechanic probably said was her intake wasn't a real AEM therefore it caused the car to have hot air going into the intake.

Re: integra 1987 alternator wire on post

Yes, you can replace wire, but make sure it's the same gauge and type.

Also, be damned sure it really is a ground or you'll be burning up a whole bunch more. I would think the alternator is...

Re: Radio acting funny

Relax. If someone has suggestions they'll let you know.

If you typed the correct code it should have worked, obviously. I'll assume you've already checked for the obvious like a blown fuse. (in...

Re: CRV bogging down for a few seconds after starting up...

After an engine start, the ABS system will self test only once when the vehicle reaches 5-10 mph. The ABS motor is fused with a 30amp, so we can assume it pulls a bit of current when it operates. I'm...

Re: Motor - Hot start

A clogged up filter can cause an over-rich condition that will make hot starting difficult. Clean/replace the filter. The next time it won't start when hot, check for spark. If no spark, the ignition...
