Sure. The stuff IN the system is highly toxic so go ahead even though you aren't certified to handle toxic materials and/or do not care about your health.

So let me understand. You KNOW it's toxic but you're wanting to risk exposing yourself to it? Even AFTER doood tells you to take it to a shop? And I'm the dumbass?

I'm not the one gambling on if they can do it or not.

Do what? Take it to a shop? But YOU'RE the one asking if you can do it? You obviously are going to do it anyway so why ask?

Where are you getting this redneck stuff? Have we met? BTW, Oak Ridge is where the SCIENTISTS live. You know? As in developed the atom bomb? The name calling is absolutely juvenile though.

I'm really trying hard to understand the need to ask this question when you NOW say there is a way for you to do it yourself AFTER you asked if there was a way to do it yourself.

Whether I am or am not (which is pretty much impossible if you knew me) that matters that he cannot make the move to remove his A/C system how?

OP two things,
1. take it to a shop, a/c removal is not worth dying over
2. making fun of Grumblemarc is a bad idea he's IMO one of the honda-tech geniuses(sp?) even if he comes off a bit harsh

i don't think anyone thinks you are.
this guy didn't like you posts and started name calling.

the refridgerant used in ac systems is considered a 'green house gas' and releasing it into the atmosphere is forbidden by the EPA.
although what do you think they do in junkyards?

Good point about the junkyards. Just goes to show that the OP could have done it and not worried about posting this useless question. Whether he just unhooked it or fabbed up some type of hillbilly recovery system.
