Re: Questions about a b20 swap

You can use pretty much any LS manifold. The OBD2 ones you will have to plug a hole on the top, I threaded a plug into mine. All the sensors will work, any b series throttle body will work.

Re: Best axles for 200 whp EF w/ Type R swap

I have run a set of Gator axles for years with no issues, as mentioned avoid any re-man or jobber axles the quality is pretty poor these days. Most of them are unbalanced and cause driveline...

Re: CRX suspension components, brand suggestions? Control arms, tie rods etc.

Got through all your suspension as stated above, get out and start sorting out the car before you think about swapping the engine. And just FYI most traction bars are garbage. I'd stay OEM if you...

Re: brake swap on '90 CRX Si

I run Hawk DTC-60 on stock brakes, with Brembo blanks. Work really well.

Re: Crankshaft and camshaft oil seasl - how much weeping of oil is acceptable?

Lol. You need to replace your seals. Yes the cam seals can be replaced without taking the head off. Get yourself a Helms or Honda manual.

Re: Opinions needed: What direction to go on my B20VTEC build

Use the crank that came with the block, not a fan of block guards myself, but it depends what you are using the car for. If money is no option, higher compression pistons if you are going NA and it...

Re: How to get access to check cambelt condition on a B20 engine?

^why are you scared of removing your valve cover? Take it off, clean the gasket, RTV over the cam caps and reinstall. Easy. You are not going to create leaks but removing the valve cover.

Re: Hydro Tranny On EF

You do not need an electric VSS for Vtec to work. You can use a cable VSS on your hydro tranny and keep the stock cluster.

Re: Minimum thread engagement for lug nuts? (I searched)

I put the ARP's on my CRX probably around 17yrs ago, solved the issue of never having to worry about how big a spacer I need to clear certain tires (i have run full cantilever slicks etc...). And...

Re: Opinions on EDM Single Bulb headlamps

I like my EDM lights, simply because there are no dimples in the lenses and they are single filament, subtle I know but it does look cleaner. I honestly think the output and beam is a bit better,...

Re: B20B/P8R parts suggestions for B20b's high compression build

You'll want a short ratio tranny for sure. Other than that, I ran a 170hp B20z (just stock head) with Crower 403 cams for years and it's a great torquey reliable engine.

Re: SMF Civic wheels

Seems like the 949 racing wheels (4x100) would be the way to go. But if you want to spend the $$ CCW, could also try Bogart Racing Wheels.

Re: 205/45r16 fitment

You don't need to worry about 15" tires going away. 2 deg camber or even 2.5 deg with proper toe settings, you will not see any adverse tire wear.

Re: ITR intake manifold or Skunk2 IM?

The Skunk2 throttle bodies are problematic to be honest. The Professional Products ones are much, much better made. If your engine is stock, honestly the stock manifold is fine.

re: What are the most reasonable power upgrade options for the B20B?

Where did you read cams are a no-go? ARP rod bolts, and Crower 403 cams wake these engines up nicely. I made north of 170whp with these cams. Also get yourself a short ratio B16/GSR/ITR tranny,...

Re: Help: All Motor 150-200hp d16y8

Long time reader and your first post is kinda in the wrong forum. :) There is a recipe to get around the 160hp mark with a D-series. Lots of people have done it, but like above you need good port...

Re: B20vtec which HG to use?

I just bought a GE headgasket. Perhaps it's older stock but it was simply an OEM headgasket (still in the OEM packaging) just had the dowel holes machined larger FYI.

Re: Swapping pads betweeen street & track... re-bed the brakes?

I've been really happy with the DTC60's they handle heat well, the dust isn't corrosive (like the Hawk Blues used to be). I use 'em on the stock 9.5" brakes as well. But like others have said, it's...

Re: Swapping pads betweeen street & track... re-bed the brakes?

No, with Hawk pads you bed them in once when they are new (you MUST do this as with any type of pad) and then I just swap in and out. Like said, I probably would stay with the same manufacturer of...
