well check your thermostat first and foremost..
3gs are known to have overheating issues,look at how close the hood sits to the valve cover,check the fan and switch,upgrade your fan,or put some...

Hmm I love the way 4ws handles on the 3gs,never have driven a 4g tho..
they rotate really nicely,understeers less than my civic but its not as crisp and direct feeling.
but yeah its kinda a wierd...

cause you can reach in below the bumper and grab the cable and pull it i did it when mine was fucked up.
you can grab it by the outside of the cable just be careful not to break...
