My 1991 civic B16A1 Turbo inside, update "dyno plot p2"
Hi everyone,
I want to introduce myself, I am from austria (europe) and have a 1991 Civic, which I have converted to a B16A1 turbo! I am not the best in english, so I think pics say more than 1000 words *gg*
Here are some pics how my civic looked like last year:
And now the specs and pics what I have upgraded that winter until now:
-Eagle rods
-Wiseco pistons
-AC Block Guard
-self made ex. manifold
-new Downpipe
-Tial Wastegate
-Haltech
-ITR Type R transmission
What I already had before:
Turbonetics T03/04E
AEM fuel regulator
RC injectors 550cc
walbro 255lph
60mm exhaust (cat back) 200cpsi katalytic converter
VAFC2
greedy profec Spec2
The exhaust manifold and downpipe:
And now the transmission with the clutch cable conversion:
The transmission
After cleaning
Clutch conversion, starting with the lever and the bearing:
after assambly
a spring to avoid rattling:
new transmission mount:
removing the mounts on the frame:
making a notch in the frame to get more space
and finishing the mounts
finished cable conversion:
completed welding
new front tranny mount
Caused by missing space for the turbo, I made my own water cooler (with 2,5liters more water volume, battery mounting and water compensation reservoir tank!
2 pics with everything assembled (beside the strut brace you see on the first pics)
Hope you like what I did with my car!!
Best regards from austria
Martin

very very nice... fab skills are of the chart! so it looks like you made your own frame mounts, are these just beefed up stock location mounts. Or are they for using a b-series with out ef to b-series mount kit. So you can just rock stock integra mounts... Also looks like you made a cable to hydro mount kit as well very nice... If you can fab up a few of the cable to hydro tranny kit thath would be ill i would be willing to test one out.

Re: My 1991 civic B16A1 Turbo inside (290allen)
Thanks,
the hood is self made :-) out of fiber glas
@dem0nk1d
The frame mounts are for using the B-series without the mount kit! In austria the police is very strict, that a car must have a certain high (11cm space to the ground on the deepest point of the car), so a mount kit was no solution for me! This is also the reason why I made the fiber glas hood!
I think the cable conversion kit is to much work an would be to expensive....

Re:
Thanks!
@ teamworxek9
I only know the inovative mounts conversion kit, and for that one I do not have anough space caused by turbo and header! So I decided to make my own conversion!
@4g hatch
I would not say that is hard to do, it is only consuming a lot of time :-), the pipe is also selfmade, material costs were about 400-500 Dollar for both together
@91ED7Si
The body kit is an european kit (Pakfeifer), i do not know if the same is available in the us....

Re: (d3f4ult)
I also have a B16 in my car and was wandering the difficulties of going turbo. If you want to see pics of my car, there is a link in my sig. I was told there is a lot of learning to do when you go turbo. Oh, and I'm loving your hatch. Looks good, and nice fab work.

Re: (d3f4ult)
If i would start again with all that work, I also would make some things different!
Bodykits and so on do not matter for me now! But they were very important for me some years ago! That is how things change!
