Re: What to do with my base model. (dixie Normas7)

Forced Induction would be your best bet if you are against swapping. An added bonus will be that with a good setup it will be more powerful than a k20a2 swap.

Re: (dogmelissa)

It sounds as if the original engine was replaced with either an SOHC ZC or DOHC ZC. If the engine looks like the one 88DXCRX posted then it is a SOHC ZC.

Looks like a fun project. Definitely looks like a sleeper with the three tone paint.... https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emwink.gif Good Luck with the build....

Re: ls axle ?'s (boostedSI90hatch)

No that will not work. You need equal length axles when using an intermediate shaft. The 88-91 civic/crx has unequal length axles.

Re: obd1 conversion...is it even worth it? (efyou)

Enables running different ecus and therefore more engine management programs are available. OBD1 also helps with emissions and uses newer electronics which are easier to source when they break.

Re: (stemiched)

The speedomter not working will cause a CEL. Make sure the cable is plugged into the gauge cluster and the transmission.

Re: another ls swap question (boostedSI90hatch)

For the STD and HF model civic/crx you need to use Si/Dx hubs or the acura hubs. If you have a dx/lx/ex/si model civic/crx you do not need to do anything with the hubs.

Re: Does this fit right? PLEASE LOOK! (square_1)

No the b series automatic transmissions are much larger than the 5spd and will not bolt into the 88-91 ciivc/crx chassis without alot of work as far as I know. IMO if you are going to swap just bite...

Re: HELP!!! Oil in the sparkplug hole, what do i do (philkehn)

Replace the valve cover gasket and the spark plug tube seals. This will ensure oil will not get into the tubes anymore.

Use a syringe or turket baster to remove as much oil from the tube as...

Re: more parts for turbo setup (jdm91CrxSi)

Personally I would ditch the safc and get some sort of real engine management. Turboedit is nice and it is pretty affordable.

Re: FPR and injectors (crxcrazysi)

Stick with the stock injectors if you are not boosted or heavily modded. Stock injectors are fine for light bolt ons. If you boost the b16a then look at larger injectors.

Re: what do you think is better? (b16ef4door)

I would go for the b20 with the ys1 transmission.

Re: b18b motor sawp (1991hondahatchsi)

No, the most you "might" have to do with a b series swap is cut out some webbing from the hood so the valve cover won't rub. Usually the non-vtec b series engines drop in no problem with the use of...

Re: B18a1 - 89 Hatch - A few questions (psycho.chicken)

90-91 integra axles and intermediate shafts are what you need. Just remove the dust seals from the hubs and you should be set. The only cars you need to change hubs on are the STD and HF model...

Re: Hood latch (pinecone)

It sounds like your cable has stretched. You can replace it with a new one and it should solve your problems.
