I need to replace my bad ecu. Someone has one locally model 37820-PNF-a03 (02 si) . Mines is 37820-PNF-E01 (03 si). Can I use his ecu or does it has to be the exact model number.

Wtb: honda ecu programming (tri state)

Anyone know where I can get my ecu programmed. Local tuner shop maybe. Old ecu went bad, and need a new one reprogrammed. Dealership says I need to tow car in. Was wondering if anyone knows a place...

Already know. Anyhow just got a call from the shop today. Said it's ecu, and said i have to get car towed to dealership to install a new ecu and get it reprogram. Can i tow the car home and just...

300. To pull an ecu that has 3 bolts and 3 plugs? Im not sure if thats gonna be the cost of programming it too. And that's not including the part. He saying some bs that he needs to pull the dash to...

I just towed the car to another shop after it sat there for a month. Its the same mechanic but he just works there. Get a call from the owner shop. Says its the computer and he needs to pull the dash...

he checked the timing. said he thinks it's the immobilizer or ecu.whats the tool you need to check the immobilizer and ecu? maybe that's would rule it out for him

Well whatever that seal called. the timing chain wasn't messed with. that's the one he replaced.

I'll see what he says. Isn't that pic for no start though. car does start. Just wont stay on after a few seconds.

No he's not. He's just trying to rule it out. He said then he can check the wiring. I'll bring it up with him. btw problem started with the crankshaft seal. I was getting it replaced due to oil leak....

Yes. he trying to rule out immobilizer or ecu. he said it requires the more expensive diagnosis machine to test the ecu which he doesn't have.

How sure are you? btw it uses a timing chain Iif that matters.

this is what he say, I check, compresion,injector, injector signal, coil, coil signal, coil electrical power, fuel pressure , fuel signal, relay signal.

understand, but he looks more capable than I am. will ask him to compression test. anything else.
the symptom though is that it just shut off instantly

Yes. btw is a mechanic checking it,not me. he's just been telling me and I'm looking at what he's doing.

stock. only cold air intake. even unwrapped the wires and retaped. might be ecu, but no equipment

have not tried starting fluid, but will think it do the same. seems electrical.

checked fuel relay.
checked grounding.
checked ignition coil.

car starts few second. shut off instantly.

have a ep3.
car runs for about 2-3 second and dies instantly. does not sputter and not gradual.
getting fuel pressure.
checked fuse
checked main relay
immobilizer light not on
