Re: Windshield> AP Tech,Pilkington,PGW

You made the right choice. Safelite it no good, much less durable and usually more distorted than PGW or AP Tech.

You can get the piece from a dealer no problem. Just stop by and I am sure the parts desk will be able to find it.

Re: OEM Gathers Subwoofer: Options to replace 40W, 1ohm speaker

Re: chinese double din dvd/gps units??

I would say stay away. The ones for 8th gen civics typically get mediocre at best reviews. Then people end up trying to sell them in the classifieds.

Re: HID upgrade for 2008 Civic

Just get the Morimoto mini projectors and the Denso ballasts from TRS. It is the most popular combo for a reason. Extremely reliable and bright. Not sure if Honda themselves could do much better.

Re: "All-Weather" Tires?

Re: What is it to love anymore ? Si rant.

I wouldn't say I dislike my SI (2007 sedan) but my experience with it has left me wondering if my next car will be a Honda or not. Quality has gone down while other OEM's have gone up

My problems...

Re: Honda Civic 2013 - Strange internal noises and rearview camera appears when braki

The camera is suppoesed to come on when it gets a positive signal from the reverse lights, not the brakes. They probably did a hack job on the wiring back there insead of getting the right harness...

Re: 2013 Civic's mystery carbon monoxide (CO) leak - any insight?

Yeah I know that feel. But it was on an 89 benz that had little to no OBD or emissions monitoring. Did your mechanic check all the exhaust gaskets?

Modern emission control systems are super...

Re: Rattling when applying brakes

Sorry I misspoke they are not really "heat" shields, but there are shields (large metal discs) that go right behind the rotor to prevent rocks/water from hitting the back side of the rotor. They...

Re: Air Conditioning

It is a smaller system and charge capacity than the Accord. Historically, the AC in Civics has never been very powerful.

Re: Rattling when applying brakes

Re: 2006-2009 service manual

The Civic one is hard to find but if you search for the Acura CSX it is a lot easier to locate and is almost the same.

2006-2008 Civic rear control arm / rapid tire wear settlement letter

Anyone else receive the letter from Honda regarding a potential settlement?

I purchased and installed the new rear control arms out of warranty and hope they will reimburse me.

Re: 2008 Honda Civic Cold Start Noise?
