For those scammed by Yellaboi [S2000 Speed Converter Buyers]
In an attempt to gain more effort from those scammed and havent been on all week I will be submitting the information this upcoming tuesday. Hopefully by this time I will have received everyone's information.
After much dismay it is now apparent that the speedohealer (electronic speed converter) offered by Fred Morman (yellaboi) has been a scam. Some members, including myself, have made contact with the distributor of the converter and they reportedly have never heard of him and nor have they received money from him. I am making this thread in an attempt to hopefully get everyone together for a dispute against him. After being on the phone with Paypal for an hour and knowing the same amount now as I did before I called I have taken the matter to the FBI Internet Crime Division (I know I didn’t use the correct name but you get the idea). I know that there is somewhere between 15-20 people who have sent money to him. PM me your name and phone number so that I can list you as one of the contacts against him when I send the information to the FBI. If do not send the information Friday I will post the change the day before in hopes that we will get all the people who purchased on board this effort. I will only be posting usernames in this thread to identify the fact that you have contacted me and provided the information, your phone numbers will not be posted.
Please! Make a complaint to Paypal and file a complaint with the FBI at http://www.IC3.gov. I cannot stress this enough. And if there is any new information that will clear this up feel free to PM me immediately.

Hahaha that dudes hilarious lookin. I wish a group of you guys would show up at his doorstep, like the children in Billy Madison showing up at Pricipal "Revolting Blobs'" house, hahaha. All scattered across his front lawn w/ chains and flaming torches.

Re: (I Shot 50 Cent)
Before hand, going to his house made sense but being realistic that would be highly stupid. Sad thing is that Im not too far from him but thats a trip to someone else's territory.

Re: (American.Graffiti)
Personally, I think this guy might either be dead, hospitalized, or similarly unable to communicate. How much did he make off with anyway? $85 times, what?, 10 or 20 people? This whole thing seems like a lot of work and trouble for roughly $1000. I've dealt with scammers before (including 2 just in the last week on Craigslist), and they usually don't go to this much trouble for such a small sum, which can't be repeated easily.
Just a few days ago I got an email from someone who supposedly wanted to rent one of my houses for a vacation rental for $3k (for 7 days), claimed he was from England, head of some company, etc. Then he wanted to send a cashier's check from one of his clients for $5500, and we were supposed to wire him the difference. Yeah right; this is a common scam where the cashier's check is fraudulent, but you don't find out until after you've deposited it and sent the money, then your bank realizes it's a bad check and wants their money back from you. Anyway, this scammer just had to send a few emails and a bogus check, and can do the same scam with the hundreds of people offering Superbowl vacation rentals in my city; just a handful of people falling for it would generate over $10k in cash, for very little effort, and the scammer's identity would be pretty hard to track down, and in a different country most likely.
This "yellaboi" dude either isn't very bright in doing a scam where his identity (name, address, etc.) is so easily uncovered, and which won't net much cash, or he's out of commission somehow.

Re: (dwolsten)
^ not to mention that if you look back at the pictures he originally posted of the converter it looks exactly identical to the Speedohealer V4 available for pre-order right now so the "prototype" story sort of checks out. Then again, I didn't buy from him so this is none of my affair.

I agree that there is a possibility that he is unable to get on a computer for what ever reason. But the difficulty lies in doing this over the internet, thus meaning any diversion from previous patterns can lead to circumstantial reasoning. I mean it like this, aside from the guy not being on the internet when Ive contacted the Jasper PD they stated that the name does not match the address. In addition to that the main distributor and the U.S. retailer have not heard of him and nor have they received any sums of money that might be able to identify our group buy. Now Im no genious but if you use deductive reasoning one would believe that there is a strong possibility that this was a scam. Granted the sum of $2000 may not be that much and I have no information regarding a similar scam on another website. All his information here is nothing but a thread compiled with the information he gave in the s2000 cluster converter thread. Once again I will state that I am more than willing to clear all this up, which is why I am allowing for some time before I report this to the FBI.

It has been confirmed that he purchased a sample.

Me too. Getting the money back would be ok, getting the converter would be great but impossible.

A scam is a scam, regardless of magnitude.

Yep, the more I read about this incident, the more this definitely looks like a scam rather an honest mistake of some kind.

Re: For those scammed by Yellaboi [S2000 Speed Converter Buyers] (portfl0w)
I got scammed too, filed a complaint with paypal and won my case. Unfortunetly I cant get my money cuz they cant get a hold of him. Someone needs to get this guy arrested so he loses custody of his child. Then he can be the one jumping through hoops for a change.
