buyers beware..scammed by v8killr83!
A buddy of mine bought a GSR tranny from v8killr83 and got scammed!!!! I'd like this thread to be just an experience of what we (and others on here as well), have had with this seller...and let you guys be aware of the situation. Here is how it all began:
My buddy Dex found the tranny on ebay at http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...89322 and talked to the seller, Joe (joseph Hodge) about the tranny. They agreed that my buddy can buy the tranny for $635 shipped if he would pay right away...and the ebay auction would end right there.
So my buddy paid him straight up through paypal account on December 17, 2004. The ebay auction was still up, so a buyer named Justin bid on the tranny, and then paid him straight up also. Now he got $635 and an additionally $930 in his pocket...and he's not willing to ship it out either.
Over the past month, we've tried calling this guy...he wouldn't pick up the phone whatsoever. He mentioned he recently got divorced and he need money to pay it up, etc. He's doing the same to the buyer Justin. He also threatens to beat us and others up when we bash him in one of his thread about the tranny and his fraudulant act. Would a good businessman go out and threaten people like that? NOO WAY!! Oh yeah i read this sumwhere...... Hes also in the air force... great way to represent the soldiers huh?
Here are some other links, convos, etc. we've collected for over this month to support our case:

16yrs old and you think you know everthing dont you...come on up yo...ill be glad to provide you with a swift kick in the ***...if i were you i would not come up to idaho...you might not get to go back home to mommy...
(6:24 AM 1/23/2005) eg6racer: so.... r u admitting that u screwed me?
(7:26 AM 1/23/2005) eg6racer: b real about this dood. what are you going to do about the tranny? and my money?

(as you can see crx12 have been scammed as well...READ CAREFULLY!!)
We don't know anymore...dunno what to do with this case. We've contacted paypal and they finally sent us a notice that they had disabled his paypal account...and there is no way of getting the money back from him. It's January 22, 2005. Still no tranny..or refund. No pick up when we try to call him. We are stumped.

i've been F'd over on ebay before for about $150...i filed a complaint here http://www.ifccfbi.gov/index.asp and also got the person's info here http://www.411.com ....like 4 months later, i got an email from an officer and ask me about my situation...i sent him all of the evidence including the scammer's info via email. The officer contacted me the next day and told me i was recieving my money back within 1 week through paypal....so i emailed the scammer and asked about it, he told me the officer callled him at work and that he was sorry....got my money back that week.....was a happpy guy since i was so broke at the moment

i wouldn't have payed him until he cancelled the auction, or just go through eBay. kinda your fault. you also knew he's on H-T. i would have just looked at his join date. he's an '04 n00b. i wouldn't buy from a person that just joined the site.
