i have 98% of the receipts for everything i've ever bought for the car since day 1.
i make no bones about it. this car has not proved to be a front-runner just yet. the best i have done is a 6th place qualify with a 1:49.9 at MAM at the October Enduro last year. this was before the new intake (about 4hp), LSD (open diff before), koyo radiator, stainless brake lines, 15+ heat cycled hankooks, 16 race brake pads/rotors, and a few other things. as a comparison, when switching from hankooks to hoosiers at topeka this spring, i dropped 4 seconds. there is no reason this wouldn't be a regionally competitive car if you slap on some hoosiers.
if you want to REALLY TEST YOURSELF, get into spec miata. it is the most competitive class in amatuer motorsports. with huge fields across the country you will always have people to race with no matter your skill level. if you're looking for a reliable car with lots of new parts to get started in racing, i ask you consider my car.
i'm not getting out of the class, i want to buy a more expensive proven race winner so i know where i stand as a driver. there is a drivers school Oct 8th at MAM where i will do a rent-to-own if you wish.
