I just bought a civic to daily drive and take to the track, dunno if it will make this event since i dont think the 70 hp motor would even be safe on a track. I'll have to swap first.
The Porsche will for sure not be ready (again!) so I may tag along with Jeff yet again. Is there any truth to the new "no passengers at willow" rule I've heard about?

Your civic would be fine on track. HP is not the main issue, it's being safe and predictable on track.
That "rule" depends who you run with.

Re: (prkiller)
i've run with you guys many times, but i can barely get this thing to maintain 65 on the freeway on any incline. The straight on streets is a tad uphill, that means will barely get this thing up to speed.
I'm also worried about blowing it up, it burns a bit of oil. i need the motor to last till i have something better sitting on a stand in my garage.
I undestand the momentum factor here, but i still think theres a limit to that as well.

Well yeah, if it's that bad, then it's not track worthy!
Hope to see you out there soon!

Not likely! That track is well, whats the word, strange to say the least. Does not look to be very safe especially for cars with lots of HP.

The bottom bowl is one of the biggest problems. If you go off there, don't expect to stop until you roll down the hill into oncoming traffic!

Where else can you blow by a cop car and not worry about the ticket!

keep it stock and run in Honda Challenge 4 after you become a decent driver.

The Z6 is a great motor just in it's stock form. You don't really need any mods to go out and play with it. You really need to decide what your plans for the future are before you start changing internals!

Re: (CivicFerio)
well, I'm a college student. I don't have the time or money to run HC... I've run about 10 events, and I usually run red in Jeff's GSR, I won't be running red first couple events in the civic, but I KNOW I shouldn't be racing yet.
I'm not looking for a huge investment into it... I'm thinking head work, compression, I/H/E.... fairly basic. I'm always a fan of going a bit quicker... I don't need massive power, if i want that, I'll just drop a a 60-1 hifi in the 951, and be content with my 400 hp. (yea, don't worry, it doesn't run often enough to bother you at the track, not yet at least)

I had nothing for him in the turns either.
