Question about Sparco sprint, sparco base mount and sliders
Ok. My race crx that I just purchases came with a Kirkey aluminum racing seat that was WAY TOO BIG for me. The seat was mounted to the floor... not only that, in order for it to be mounted to the floor the original owner (6'4"!!!!) removed the stock floor mounting points.
illustrated here:
Now my question is... I have a Sparco Sprint seat that is a "bottom" mounting seat (not a side mounting seat like the evo or pro2000).
My solution was to use the Sparco Universal Base Mount with the Sparco sliders since the Sparco sliders are dual side sliders.
Base mount:

Sliders:

The sliders are FIA homologated and I thought this would be a great solution to my problem.
I would love some feedback on this. Thank you for your time in advance.

Re: Question about Sparco sprint, sparco base mount and sliders (rice_classic)
They told me when I bought the base mount the picture was wrong
Anyway what I got were 4 pieces of square tubing that lay on top and then the sliders mount to that, this set up pissed me off due to the extra height gang of extra weight and there tendency to come loose. I threw it in the trash
with a bottom mounted seat its gonna be hard to mount it

if you've seen seat rails for the s2000, they bottom rails are integrated to the slider and have brackets coming off of the bottom rails that attach to the seats, removing the need to run the aluminum side brackets for the seats.

That's a picture of the s2k seat rails. The only problem with that is that my seat, a Sparco Sprint, does not have anywhere on the side to mount. It's a bottom mounting seat.

I must've misunderstood what you meant and had a seizure too at the time since you weren't ambigous in your question. You pretty much limited to bottom mount rails that don't really help in reducing the seat height. When I was referring to s2000 seat rails, I meant aftermarket ones but those are for side mount seats like the Rev.

Re: Question about Sparco sprint, sparco base mount and sliders (vapor)
I appreciate your intentions for helping!
I think I will just buy that base mount and bolt it to the floor of the car.

and then get the sparco sliders:

We have an 89 Civic rally car with Sprints, and ended up just hard mounting it to the floor. Make sure you find a comfortable spot BEFORE you weld though.

Sounds like the best plan IMO, unless you want to go through the trouble of fabrication your own mounts.
With a little bit of alteration on the sparco seat bracket, you should be able to find a way to bolt it into the car, while using the existing cross-brace that was made for the other seat.
You will probably have the do some drilling on the Sparco base, because, for some odd reason our sparco sliders didnt bolt into the base, and we had to make some new holes. We did this with a Sprint last week in our EK...
Have fun.

Re: Question about Sparco sprint, sparco base mount and sliders (D.CACO)
Thanx for your help.
I don't mind drilling a few holes. I'm going to buy the mount and sliders tomorrow from speedware motorsports.
<--is very excited!

Re: Question about Sparco sprint, sparco base mount and sliders (rice_classic)
Sell the seat and get a side-mounting seat.
I just got my Pro2000 mounted using my old Corbeau floor mount frame. You just have to remove the Corbeau sliders, line up the Sparco "L" brackets on top of the Corbeau floor mount, drill four holes (or if you're like me, drill about 12), set the seat to the lowest position and you're done.
It doesn't slide, but it's plenty low for me.
