Prepping for MAP Proving Grounds 2016.1
I'm not sure who all here is from the midwest, but Proving Grounds has been a big event in the past. I'm prepping for the unlimited production car class in the TTS (Triple Threat Showdown). It consists of timed runs from autocross events, drag race time slips, and standing start timed runs on the short road course at Brainerd International Raceway.
I may decide to run in the unlimited-street tire group so there is a bigger field, but we'll see.
98 Honda Civic hb
turbo b16, PTE 5831, etc.
ITR transmission
SETRAB/MOCAL oil cooler setup
PIC Select suspension
R-S3 tires on 16" ITR wheels
RE71r tires on 15" TE37 wheels
Hoosier SM7 tires
HAWK HP+ pads, brembo rotors, RBF600 fluid
Recaro SPG, Sabelt harnesses, autopower 4pt rollbar

Re: Prepping for MAP Proving Grounds 2016.1
Hey hows it going? I don't think I have been on Honda-tech in over a decade. Between the ages of 16-21 I was a Honda fanatic. I had owned about 6 Honda's over that 5 year period and the last one I owned was a very modified h22 eg hatch. I left the Honda game for Subaru's. I played with subarus for about 5 years, owning multiple STI's. I owned 3 or 4 evo's after that and had some serious fun. Unfortunately over the years, the local law enforcement started to crack down big time on modified cars so I got out of the game for a year or two. Currently I own a modified Lexus ISF (headers, exhaust, Penske coilover, Air oil separator bla bla bla) and I have been using it for track duty. I came to the conclusion that the car is just too expensive to be running on the track and this past Friday I picked up my newest purchase!!!! a 99 Hatch fully built race car! I plan on taking it to proving grounds (I'm from Winnipeg, Canada) so I look forward to seeing you out there!
