Re: Powerneedy's Time Attack build
That's a great option but even though your radiator is minimaly larger in dimension mine is a dual pass making it much more effective. My electric water pump is regulated to control temps and even with it on its slowest speeds if it's a 60 degree day we have to work at getting temperate into the cooling system. It makes it worth it as when it's 100+ degrees in the dry desert the system holds amazing at 200 with 30 minute runs.

Kungfu I was a bit skeptical as well but its rated for at least 10,000 hours of use and then can be serviced for a small fee.
What would you like to know or what pictures are you after?
Root I have the stock water pump with its fins removed making it a idler pulley.

Re: Powerneedy's Time Attack build
I was looking at the life rating on those pumps. 10k hours is pretty legit. Even if I had one on my beater that I commute 60 miles/day in, that would net me a solid four years. Assuming that rating is at 100% duty, using their PWM controller or a PWM output on you ecu would theoretically extend that out even further. That's a big leap forward from the "drag use only" ones of just a few years ago.
Are you using their controller? In FSAE we used a Davies-Craig (POS, btw) one and we made a dedicated temp vs rpm map for it in Haltech.

We got out and tested the car for the opening day at MMP and was getting faster and faster as each lap we pushed. Unfortunately we encountered a pretty severe transmission leak and had to retire for the day. We ended up running a 2:08 on outer that now feels like a stroll on the track compared to the hair on fire ready to fly off the track at any moment with the old aero setup.

Thanks man! Ratios are 4.0 Final Drive with 1st 2.428, 2nd 1.813, 3rd 1.424, 4th 1.174, 5th 1.000. We rev the car to 10k where we need it and makes 1st gear roughly a 70 mph gear and in 5th a 170 mph gear.

It's a shame to see it for sale... such an amazing piece of machinery! Honestly just a stunning piece of quality that was used for what it was built for!
Out of curiosity why are you selling?

I am not a 100 percent sure LOL. I enjoy the car but I feel I am close to the end of the cars potential with out getting flat out crazy with the car. Do not mistake this for it needs something or isnt finished, The car is flat out silly fast in the straights and corners. I honestly really like building and engineering parts as much as I like to drive so I am feeling like I need something new to start on.

Oh no never would I think that ever! Honestly I get what you are saying with the fun of building something and being creative/engineering parts.
You did a fabulous job with it!

Re: Powerneedy's Time Attack build
No sir I have not. I have had several sets and sell them off as I built the car for modified/limited and are not allowed a full slick. I always seemed to end up with sets and would try to convince myself to run them but I never wanted to have a taste of them and struggle going back to a semi slick lol.
I have a fresh set of r6 sitting in my basement I am thinking of tossing on before the next track day... But it might be gone before then.

Beautiful car and super build thread.
I race a 1990 Integra in the ICSCC (Pacific NW) Enduro series and a Legacy GT in the ICSCC ST races. We changed the rules in ST this year which I think makes a built Teg like yours a championship contender.
When you sell it we could use your skills in the Factory Five 818 community!

The 818R will be my next engineering challenge.

Re: Powerneedy's Time Attack build
Sgt Gator we have been eying the 818 and at one point we had one on order when they first released it but our ETA kept getting pushed back at months at a time so we bailed as it went clear out to almost a year before we would receive it. I have built my fair share of subarus but I think my integras motor setup in the 818 would be a riot

And yeah , a Honda engine/tranny would be a very radical departure from the crowd!
