Sorry about that- I was probably out back , making noise and up to my neck in Fiberglass and splitter blades... (If anyone calls and you get no answer- Please leave a message and I'll call you right back - Thanks)

All of our Honda Air-dams are designed to replace any existing Lip.
In most cases the P1Spec Air-dams are actually an extension of the factory lip.
The P1 Spec Air-dams are 1.75 to 2.0 inches deeper than the Stock lip.
On my JDM ITR race-car on 17" wheels the underside of the splitter is about 2.5-3.0 inches above the track.
These are for racing only- Not recommended for street use.

No, the new style Air-dams come in a White Gelcoat finish. You can leave as is, or prep and paint to match the color of your car.

PS.
Thanks to everyone for the overwhelming orders!!! and for your patience. You should all recieve your orders in the next couple of days.
The new EG Air-dams will be available next week.

As soon as I can get on top of the overwhelming response to the P1Spec Splitter Kits... Thanks guys! Those of you who have been patiently waiting should receive your orders next week. I expect to have the EG Air-dams on Wednesday.
I'm working on the CRX Kits now.
The Side Skirts will be available formed from sheet aluminum, with Tig welded caps at either end. A really nice product but this is very labor intensive, so we will try to produce a lower cost Fiberglass alternative as soon as we can.

Once again, thanks to everyone for the wonderful response to the P1Spec kits, and I look forward to any feedback.
We are making additions and changes to these things almost daily. The latest additions are alloy skid strips on the underside of the Splitter which should help extend the life of the blades.
We are constantly looking for ways to improve the quality and performance of our products on the track. I'm working on a proposal to NASA with others who's opinions and knowledge of aerodynamics are known and respected in our racing circle., If accepted for next season, this will provide specifications that will allow every Honda racer the same advantage that a well designed splitter/Wing can give.

Thanks,

Kiwi

The ones shown above are the first generation, We only made a few sets. We thought they were good at the time.... but the New style are just so much better! I have been so busy trying to keep up with the orders for the new Kits, I have not even looked at replacing my own yet! Or change the Pic's on my Web site!
I'll post the new kits in a couple of days as well as some of the improvements we have made.

Keep those orders coming...

KIWI-

I do like the product. However, are there any plans to make a lighter weight version? The splitter is VERY heavy. I didn't weight it... but I'd guess around 20-25 lbs?

Thanks and I sure hope it helps.

Yes John,
I understand your concern...
I have just weighed our latest DC2 US Spec Splitter, including the Air-dam with all the brackets and the new alloy skid plates. Total 22lbs. And that is the largest one we make.
The Complete EK Civic Kit - Packed in a box ready to ship is only 21lbs.

It comes back to the same old argument...
1/ The only place you can save weight is in the material for the blade...
Yes we can make the Splitter Blade out of a lighter composite material...
But the cost will be three times as much! And it is still going to get broken!
2/ The lighter material needs a framework to withstand the downforce created.
So the framework will be more labor intensive... Higher cost. not to
mention the weight factor.
3/ If your car is making enough power that the P1Spec splitter actually
works for you, and creates the downforce you need... 22lbs aint that much
of a concern.
4/ Remember... "The splitter is a disposable item... If its still in one piece after
a couple of events... Youre not trying hard enough!"

Show me a way to produce this kit at a lesser weight, that can be removed or replaced in seconds. Without having to use nuts, bolts, screws, or rivets for the same price... And I'll do it!

Kiwi

Is this from going off track or does the thing just busticate itself due to the loads?

Off track excursions... The splitters handle the downforce loads and everything they are suposed to do just fine. Remember, at race speeds the splitter blade can be as close as 1/2" from the track, or less. It's going to get damaged sooner or later...

I got to check these out in person this weekend and they are HOT! They put my RoadRaceGear air dam & splitter to shame.

I can't wait for the EF/ED application!
