It's hard to beat a big boy big brake kit as long as you have enough tire behind it so your not locking up left and right. Pads are usually pretty cheap compared to buying pads for an OEM caliper and most kits use two piece rotors.
By the way, how did you like the innovative mounts on the track? I'm assuming they would vibrate the wax out of your ears at idle. Haha

Yeah i know the upside to having a big brake kit on the car, however i'm not so sure it's the right modification for it as of now. Problem is i know that i will most certainly have to get larger wheels than what i have currently. Doubt a Wilwood 12.2 rotor and caliper will fit under my 15x7 TR Motorsport wheels. Which is why i was contemplating doing the NSX or ITR calipers, i know they'll fit. It's all up in the air for right now.
Car will be going up on stands once again for a small tear down. Need to replace some things like wheel studs, wheel bearings, and something special.
As for the motor mounts i loved them on the track. Would not suggest going 95a durometer bushings unless it's a track only car. The whole car vibrates and at certain RPMs it loves to resonate off of everything. So certain frequencies vibrate different portions of the car. Quite annoying when you're driving it on the street. And that is with the sound deadening still in the car! LOL! But it's a track toy so i'll leave it at that.
Can only imagine what it's going to feel like with stiffer springs and suspension. I seriously need to get myself another truck.

Think after i return from Colorado on the 13th of Aug, I'm going to order 2 TR Motorsport 15x7 or 8s in +25 offset. Might be able to use the 225s then.
Going to be hunting down the issue of tire fitment on the car. It's either a bent spindle, which i now have a spare, or when the car hit the wall it did something to the chassis. I'm hoping it's not that, but if it is, my car may be going to get bent back into reasonable shape.

Thursday the car will be finding it's new home at the shop. Going to get her up in the air for some some upgrades.

I still think its the spindle cause you could crush the whole car and as long as the spindle is straight it will fit

Yeah i'm not saying it's not, i just figure since the spindle is constructed of cast iron, if it were to see enough impact force it would snap due to the metals brittle nature. I have the spare spindle so we'll check it out and see if that's the cause.

Re: 20CiviC02Si's "TK (Time Killer)" Project
With the limited budget of $300 i have right now, the tasks i have set for myself to complete before Wangfest #2 on Sept 3rd are:
-Replace Wheels Studs w/ ARP Extended (Necessary now that one of the OEM studs is ruined)
-Replace Driver Side Knuckle (Hope everything on the current one swaps over and there is no more issue with wheel fitment.)
-Replace Front Wheel Bearings (Didn't want to have to do it, but if i'm doing studs it's pretty much necessary.)
-Remove Sunroof (If time permits)
-Remove Sounds Deadening (If time permits)
-Order pair of 15x7 +25 TR Motorsport wheels (If budget permits)
I will either have to suck it up and buy a press or pay out the *** to have a shop do the press work for me. We'll see what happens. If i keep the trip out to Colorado next week cheap, i should have enough to get the rest of this done.

Ok picking up a used brake booster and brake master cylinder for $35 off of someone in Milwaukee tomorrow. As well as an RSX-S shifter box for $40. All-in-all not a bad pick up for $75.

Just arrived today. Koni 3011 double adjustable coilover setup. Should help keep the car well planted in the bends! Will be installed upon my return from Colorado next week.

I recommend the APR extended studs.
Ill send you the itr calipers, not knowing how hard you are on brakes, I'm going to assume that they will not be enough. They are just collecting dust so its at least worth a try. Match it up with a 1" master, you already have the proportioning valve, all you would need are some good track pads and disks.
You are going to be blown away with the double adjustables, its an unfair advantage really. The best upgrade I have ever done to my suspension, should have been the first thing I did.

Yeah roll cages are not cheap, and definitely not an item to cheap out on. That's for sure! Fortunately mine was already in place when i bought the car. It's a well designed cage and it has seen a couple revisions since it was installed over 10 years ago.

Nice build / track thread you have here. How are you liking those tires? && Best choice of wheels!! I recently completed my first track day with CSCC, enjoyed every moment of it.

^ Thanks for the share man!
On a side note, i've gained some experience in repairing carbon fiber parts these past few days. It really made me realize the possibilities that are out there and that it's not as difficult as it first appears. Seriously contemplating getting into some type of composite course. Wouldn't mind being able to create my own parts and not have to pay a fortune to buy something mass produced.

Well finally home after one really really long adventurous week! Took 2nd place with our Unlimited Class Lovefab NSX at Pikes Peak International Hillclimb. We overcame some huge challenges last week, and it all paid off!
Remember, "It's not about how you got the ball ball in the whole, it's the fact that you got it in. That's what counts!" Favorite quote of the week!

Re: 20CiviC02Si's "TK (Time Killer)" Project
Little update:
Old coilovers are off the car. Still trying to figure out what i'm going to use for top hats. Extended ground controls won't work with the shorter shock body.
Rear hubs were removed and the studs were pounded out.
Tomorrow front knuckles will be removed, hubs pressed out and studs removed.
However i'm stopping at King Motorsports to pick up some new extended studs.
