2006 Civic Si wheels for track use?
Hey all, I've got a 2006 Civic Si and plan on running it at HPDE events this year. I plan on keeping the car stock except for rims, tires, brakepads, and an alignment.
What size rims do you folks recommend for track use? I don't want to have to roll the fenders. Stock rims for my car are 17 x 7. Thanks for any input.

Hi Jeremy. I sold my white and red Spec Miata.
Regarding the stock rims, I may end up using them but I'm thinking that lighter (smaller), track-dedicated rims may be a good idea. I'd just swap at the track. I'd like to run R-compounds, too.
It seems like most of the Honda guys run 15" or 16" rims.

Hi and welcome to Honda-Tech. Just in case you were interested, I happen to have a pair of Si Sedan front struts and HFP (Honda Factory Performance) rear shocks featuring much stiffer valving than the OEM Si units available for sale for $200 o.b.o.

For a racer, I'll part out just the fronts or rears _OR_ I'll make a concession on shipping, but I won't offer this to the general bunch of yokels out there.
