Question about re-clearing

Question about re-clearing
So I decided to rattle can my front SI lip and used custom mixed auto paint from an automotive paint place. I used 1 can for base (4-6 coats) and 1 can for clear (4-6 coats).
Now when I went to go wet sand my lip...I used 1000 grit and then used 3M rubbing compound....the results were still hazy so I wet sanded it again and tried rubbing compound for the second time...still hazy and thats how it sits now.
I don't want to bother to wet sand again because I don't want to break through the clear....
My question is can I just respray a couple more coats of clear to get a better "deep wet" look?
And if I just shoot some more clear coats over the hazy surface of the existing wet sanded clear coat....will it look as if I have never wet sanded? or will it show through?
Any feedback I would appreciate

1000 grit is too coarse. you probably went through the clear. just reclear it with extra clear. if its orange peel than sand with 1500, but try 2000. then buff then use some kind of polish.
with new clear you shouldnt see any show-throughs. make sure you let the clear flash long enough. dont spray too thick also, just wet enough so you wont get so bad orange peel. hope this helps

you might want to let it cure before you start sanding and buffing it. If it is not fully cured it will haze up on ya

How long should I have waited?....I think I waited 3-4 days...dunno if that was enough.

It's from a company called Micro Finish or something...I got the stuff from automotivetouchup.com....the paint/clear I used were from rattle cans.

It could be hazing from your buffing.
You probably are using a harsh compound. So after you buff with the 3m rubbing compound, follow it up with a milder polish compound...
