We reached a personal milestone of mine in this project last night. The engine and tranny now rest comfortably in the chassis!

I have a lot more pics, but here are some from my iPhone. I was trying to be artistic on a couple of the shots with Instagram.

Looking good! I wanted to shave my firewall, it really cleans up the engine bay.

I was looking into buying the QA1 coils, I need to drop mine about 2.5 inches. I do not have a build thread here on my nova. Heres a link to a pic though

4-25-12 Brakes are done with the exception of a little more bleeding. One of the tall valve covers needs to be modified to work with the brake booster. Headers are bolted on, pedals, new Quick Fuel carb, Edelbrock fuel pump, billet dipstick, crossmember and new distributor are installed (needs some work because there is too much play).

Next week we will run the fuel lines and possibly get the driveshaft modified to fit. We need to also prep more of the engine parts and install...alternator, starter, etc. Every week we're getting closer.

Looks good. You need to start a thread.

Hell yea! What he said! Nice Nova, I would follow thread.

Nice, Dragon! Right now, you're my only motivation to finish my whip. I have until December to get it running. I'll race you to see who finishes first. Looking great!

Thanks! It's nice to see that someone else is still following my build thread. Even better that I'm helping motivate someone else to finish their project! This thread used to be in regular GDD (which got a lot more exposure), but some power tripping Mod decided to move it. When it's all done I'll make a new thread in GDD with a link to this one.

Yeah we should have a race! I'm shooting for the end of the summer for mine to be *mostly* done. I'd like to have it running/driving...basically everything, but the interior ready by August at the latest. My biggest suggestion is making a routine. For the past 5 weeks or so we've been working on the car every Wednesday night. We stick to it no matter what and we're seeing results. It's mostly my Dad and his friend (who's also an ASE mechanic which always helps). Occasionally my friends will stop by, but for some reason they're not nearly as excited about the project for whatever reason.

Good. GDD is full of kids that swear they love cars but actually love socializing. I love to socialize, also, but I love cars and I take them seriously. This section is good for that. GDD is all fun and games. No serious business. Your whip? Serious business.

Hmm. Once a week, huh? That's a good idea. I should call up my cousin, who's willing to give me a hand, and set up a sched. Hmm... I like the way you think, Dragon.

KMJ. They were a fraction of the price of a set of Global West. I think they look great, but I can't comment on how they perform yet. They seem like they are of decent quality for the money though.

5-23-12 Test fitting pulleys, brackets, belts, etc. Now I need to do some painting and/or powdercoating. I need ideas. I'm thinking black pulleys and silver/chrome looking brackets.

with the way the look of the rest of the engine itself is, I'd almost say just paint the pulleys/brackets the same as the engine block first and see how it looks.

almost looks industrial style.

Thanks for the input. I was looking at pics today of other 69 Camaro engine bays and I don't think you'll even see much once the fan shroud is on.

pretty much. also why I would just lean to paint matching to give it a common theme. people will just look and go, wow I can see part of a chrome bracket way down there lol.

Nice work!!! I would of been furious if I would have got a car back with that much over spray!! My dad and I have been working on a 69 SS ourselves and it has been a experience. We have had the most problems with interior since it is all custom. I designed the center console and rear speaker enclosure.

600hp 427 small block

We have a lot of original parts since we decided to go for more of a resto mod look. We have a full black interior new and original GM parts. Let me know if you need anything.

Long time, no post. We have gotten a lot done. Next up is wiring.

So apparently ALL of my pics that I posted here that were hosted on FB are now broken. I guess that's what I get for using FB to host them.

I imported all of my Camaro pics to Photobucket if anyone wants to check them out...All FIVE albums which continues to grow. I will eventually try to fix each post here at some point. You have to click on the left to see all of the albums.

http://s97.beta.photobucket.com/user...32494251858848

Here's the most recent pic. I got her to the exhaust shop and had the tailpipes installed then she went to another shop to get alignment. I removed my Subaru WRX wheels for winter and put on another set. I removed two of the tires to use for the Camaro project front wheels. 235/45/17 Dunlop SP01s.

Nice looking Camaro! I will probably fabricate a center console at some point myself. We'll see. If you have any tips let me know. How much do you want for the black interior (if you still have it). Thanks!
