!!!STOLEN!!! 01 Yamaha R6 and 00 Yamaha R6
The garage at my apartment complex was broken into 2 nights ago. They made off with quite a bit of stuff, but the main things were my roomates R6's. Both of which had no insurance....
This is in Vancouver Washington FYI.
01 R6-
Red, White, Black
Micron Exhaust
00 R6
Blue, White, Black
Akrapovic Exhaust
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thieves are *****!

What's the point of that comment Lots of people take their insurance off in the winter when they won't be riding. Do you know he was riding them? No you don't, so why don't you keep your comments to what you do know.
93EGB18C1 - I hope your roommate gets his bikes back or they catch who took them. My GF had her F4I stolen last year. Even with a wheel lock they just picked it up and put it in the back of a truck. Good luck!

Pretty sure insurance is not required in the State of Washington on motorcycles.
So even if he was riding them, who gives a s h i t?
93EGB18C1- Hopefully something comes up... and they catch these guys...

Thanks guys. Yea, my roomates are totally bummed out...
It's messed up when your posessions aren't even safe when they are locked up and in a garage.
On a side note, Motorcycle insurance is not required in WA state.

To all you ***-hats talking **** about my comment, it was not directed at his roommates being idiots for driving with no insurance, I know you don't need it in WA state, my comment was directed at who the hell owns a bike, especially a crotch-rocket and not have full coverage on them?
That's like owning a honda and not having full coverage on it (this is coming from a guy that has had his honda's stolen, and his 2003 CBR F4i nabbed too). Full coverage is a life-saver in these situations.

If you lay down a bike full coverage isnt gonna do **** but replace your bike and make your rates go up so high you cant afford to insure it anymore lol. I know plenty that have liability or none at all and if the inevitable happens they suck it up, risk you take riding a purpose designed bike.
Lotta guys pull insurance off vehicles they dont use over the winter... although not taking sides but not having storage insurance on something easily steal-able like that
Hope the bastards are caught

Yea, there was a pretty shady group of Russian guys scoping the bikes out over summer. Whoever did it knew the bikes were in there for storage and knew our schedules. That's the part that really pisses me off. It was thoroughly planned out.
My roomates and myself are willing to lay down some cash if anyone can point us in the right direction as to who is responsible. I've been on Craigslist and E-bay, but nothing yet...
Thanks for the support everyone.

do you have renters insurance? Maybe talk to your landlord to see if they have insurance that may cover this. I know when I lived in CA your renters/homeowners ins. covered theft and damage of items inside your garage, this includes bike, tools, cars, motorcycles, etc.

That is such crap. If they broke into your garage and stole it Renters has to cover it. Because if you tried to claim it on your automoblie insurance and they know you have renters insurance they will deny the claim and tell you to go through them. It has happend to me twice. I would ask for a copy of the policy. I work for a Medical company that deals with insurance and the Insurance company will always try and not pay a claim. It sucks but you may have to put a little effort into fighting for it.
Best of luck
