Hey, thanks for the reply, I've been away from the site for a while as well. I haven't even got the SIR out of the garage for over a year. But thanks I appreciate the answer and I'll let you know how it turns out. What did you do with your car? Thanks again

SJC, sorry for the late reply but I have left the scene and almost never come on the site anymore. But to answer your question, in case it still matters or helps anyone in the future, The tuner 2 cams are good cams in a B16a set up like yours. Pro 2's were even a little big for my 1.8 at 11.3:1 compression and top quality supporting mods and excellent tune. The b16 can handle a 75hp nitrous shot no problem as long as the air/fuel/nitrous mixture is where it should be. You can confirm it by testing it out on the dyno with a wideband.

Hey, been a while but I finally started getting back to work on my Em1. Just wondering your thoughts on skunk2 tuner 2 cams in a B16, I'm also running a spoon head gasket and skunk2 throttle body and intake manifold. I had skunk2 pro 2's in the car but they were useless. I'm also running stock bottom end. One more question, is it safe to increase my nitrous shot from 65hp to 75hp? Thanks again

PCT is probably the worst piston choice out there for an LS-VTEC due to its weight, compression, poor flame propagation across the chamber due to the large dome and the fact that when you run it with a GSR head, you tend to smack the head with the pistons. You end up pulling timing to run on pump gas and that's no way to make good power.

I run a stock USDM B18c5 block, crank, pistons, rods etc.

thanks much yo. my tuner and friends say PCT pistons can give me great power but im not so sure i want those compression numbers. i was leanin to the P30 since they fit easily to LS rods, but i also prefered the JDM P73's.

What internals (pistons, rods, crank) do u run in your setup if u dont mind sharing? thanks again

I would use the P73's hands down in an LS-VTEC application.

I haven't done much in the last year but I'm expecting a new ported GSR head and intake manifold from don F, any day now. Once I get it and install it, I'm going to head down to see Jeff Evans to have it properly tuned once and for all and post my final results at that time. How did you make out?
