K24A4 1992 Swap
Hello,
I'm doing a K-swap to my 1992 civic hatch from an 03 Accord. I have everything from the Accord, including ECU, harness, 5 speed trans etc.. At this point the engine and trans are in and it looks good with those Hasport mounts. Now the next hurdle is finding a budget friendly way to wire it. From my understanding the ECU that I have won't work, and I've seen different forums say different things, including:
1. Buy 02-04 RSX harness and ECU, along with Hondata (Seems too expensive)
2. Buy 05 Element ECU and 04 harness, reflash with K-tuner (Again decently expensive, harder parts to find)
These options seem ok, but before I commit to anything and spend some cash I want to make sure I'm evaluating all of my options. Obviously if possible I'd like to use the parts I have to keep the cost down but it is what it is.
I'm just looking for advice from someone more experienced than me, which I guess isn't saying much, but anything helps, bonus points if you have done this swap yourself.
Thanks for reading. Pls help

Re: K24A4 1992 Swap
Why not use the Accord stuff you have? Immobilizer is not that hard to make functional. That is the early Type 2 that uses the same key way as the EG. Would just need a Type 2 key blank cut to your cylinder.
Probably no tuner options for that ECU so all the emissions stuff would need to be functional to not set a check engine light.

02-04 RSX "harness"(ktuned, Rywire or OEM) with 02-04 K-pro v4, the last thing you want to cheap out on is the EMS. my turbo k24/20 runs off the ktuned tucked harness and an 02-04 kpro V4 ECU. If you're on a budget cut costs else where, you'll run into issues trying to make something else work. I can't tell you how many times Kpro has helped me plus it has blu tooth so you can see what's happening on your phone while you drive. a stock RSX-S ECU can be used with an immobilizer bypass that ktuned sells but you'll have no idea what going on in terms of sensor values etc.
