new here and to Hondas
Hi I'm new here, I'm also new to Honda's.
I have a 1994 Honda Civic coupe DX with the stock engine 5spd.
I'm really wanting to do a swap in it. A cheap one for now as the car has lots of hail damage and I don't have much money so was looking at b18c1 first. Now I've seen that I can pick up a B20 for fairly cheap and wanted to know if there is decent power to be made there and after market support for the B20. I know there's lots for b18's. I'm just trying not to spend a lot.
I'm going to do some more research before posting in the swap section to try not to get flamed too bad lol.
And what B20 a Vtec or non vtec my hp goal is 200-250 would be ok with N/A or turbo. other goals would be to keep it for daily driving and some possible autox and drag racing. itll just be an all around fun car.
MY OTHER goal would be to beat down on some of the diesels in town as I use to be a diesel kid but its too expensive and I was tired of the black smoke.
I think I hit on everything.

Re: new here and to Hondas
72 views and no one has anything for me?
Is the B20 gonna be the cheapest to get in the car and then get to my goal. I want to get my engine swapped out in the next 6 month cause its burring oil.
So if something else would be cheaper and get me to my goals please let me know. I'm ok with putting something stock in the car to keep it running and then lter do upgrades on it. and I've decided I really would like to turbo it. so that question is answered.
I'm hoping to get a few answers here before I post in the swap area so I don't get flamed.
also where is the best place to buy an engine complete with ecu wiring and trans?
