F20B, ACL or Bisimoto Bearings
I am looking for bearings for my build and have found both the ACL and Bisimoto bearings and was wondering which is a better bearing. I found the Bisimoto standard set with main and rod bearings and thrust washers for $169.00. I found the ACL rod and mains on Ebay for about $130 (ordering from 2 sources) and they do not include thrust washers. The ACL are the race series. So which would be the better option. The Bisimoto's offer more for little extra but I am more asking if the ACL's will be the better bearing.

Re: F20B, ACL or Bisimoto Bearings
I used ACL bearings for my build. B16 rod bearings and the H22a4 main bearings and thrust washers.
Because I have no experience with the Bisi bearings I cant comment on which is better, but I had no problems with mine.

I used Eagle B series long rods (5.862") which come with the ARP bolts with custom CP 88mm pistons. I believe they were 33 ft/lbs. But if you're using the OEM bolts, I don't know what the stock specs are.

Yeah I can't find specs anywhere which is making me put off the bearings for the time being. Also I have already put out more than I planned for so I'll do those at another point. Did you replace your thrust washers when you were down there? I would like to do those when I get to the rest but can't seem to find what thrust washers go to that engine.

Re: F20B, ACL or Bisimoto Bearings
It's all good. From personal experience, I was very happy with this motor, both in stock and built forms. Seemed like it loved revving, and the built one made more torque than others assumed it would make (88mm x 88mm bore/stroke put out 176 wtq). So the built one not only had an awesome top end but it had a great bottom end to go with it. Matched perfectly to the 00 Si trans with a Quaife.
Good luck and let me know if you need any more info. Its been over 2 years since I touched an F20B, but I can recall some things.
