94 civic b20b swap rpm question
Just curious. Sent my p28 obd1 ecu to get socketed and chipped. I asked for redline at 8k will not be taking it there with stock internals. Just wanted it after I build the head. Car still redlines at 6k. Is there any specific reason. With virgin p28 ecu car still redlines at 6k. Thanks for any help.

you might want to build the bottom end also if your planning on spinning a b20 to 8,000rpm . reasons' wrong fuel map's, vtec ecu on none vtec motor dtc's for vtec, vtec oil psi, knock sensor, incorrect tach reading, it's a b20.......

Well I got a b20b basemap vtec is disabled. So no cells come up. Or I would get code 21. I jus wanted to take it to 7k. Then when I build it, ecu is already set at 8k. No knock sensor low compression b20b. Could be tack I have a extra icm that I know works. Ill check it out thanks.

Re: 94 civic b20b swap rpm question
Long time since reply but still redline at 6k. If I start from dig bounce off 2 step and launch car will spin and go to 7k then shift to second and spin and will be at 6k. Used my friends cluster and reads same. Used aftermarket tach and same thing. Any clues? Thanks.
