What routes have any of you taken on your B swaps when changing the clutch? Did you drop the transaxle or just pull the motor back out? A lot of things that used to be easy to fix on my D became more difficult with the B swap (Example=alternator, had to pull the BMC to get it out). I'll have to change the clutch soon so I'd like to know. TIA!!!

I had to replace all the seals in my tranny so I pulled it out. It was simple really and took me about 3-4hrs to get it out. It was my first one and if I had hurried I'm sure I could have removed it faster. It took me like 2hrs to put back in also. Btw this is in a crx with a b16a and a ys1 tranny.

I've done this more times than I can remember, and it is ALWAYS best to just drop the trans, no sense removing the whole damn motor to do the job.. When you do this, just remove the two lower bolts on the rear engine bracket, leave the top one and the the one that connects to the rear mount alone. Remove both axles and the intermediate shaft, its a pita to deal with the intermediate shaft if you try to leave it on the motor. Be sure to remove the passenger side radius rod and front crossmember as well.
