as the title says i have a 93 honda del sol si. i recently bought i b18c type engine from hmo. me an acouple of buddies put it in. had all the the things i needed wiring harness etc. etc. but when we went an tried to turn it on it wouldnt turn on. it would crank but thats bout it we checked the distributor an it wasnt gettin spark. can some one please help me with this it would be much appreciated.

an forgot to mention the people i first purchased the car from had an alarm system and push start in the car. idk if that would have anything to do with the car not starting.

Didnt you just awnser your own question?

Take the distributor to a local auto parts store and have them test everything on it...replace whats needed

Do you have all of your grounds hooked up? Especially the one by the thermostat?

Have you tried checking the resistance of the coil to check if it is good ?(There a procedure for this and a specification of the resistance, but I do not know it off the top of my head)

What ECU are you running? OBD-I P06 or P72 or something else? Is it Chipped?
If it is chipped? does it have a basemap burned to it? Do you know if it is in good working condition before you did the swap?

Did you check your IGN. fuse?

Oh...and is this new distributor or a used one? Like JuggerNaut said...get it check out or just replace it. They are not crazy expensive.

all the grounds are good. havent checked the thermostat ground will do tomorrow. im running the p72. i dont think its chipped. an yes its in working condition. the distributor itself looks used. will have to take it sometime this week.

i checked my ecu one more time to make sure. im not running p72 ecu. im running a p73
