90 civic Si ,, H22 swap, place racing mounts,, some Q's
yes,
With the place racing weld in mounts for the h22 swap in a 90 hatch Si.
i heard the angle of the engine is too extreme and becuase of that, the axles tend to break/not last long and if you lower the car too much, aside from oil pan/header clearances, the axles will only be at a even more extreme angle. therefor more prone to breaking the lower you go.
i read that on the 92-95 h22 swaps,, is that the same problem with 88-91 h22 swaps?
some people said go with custom mounts for the Eg, but if anything i would just customize the place racing ones for the EF if need be.
now,, i dont want anymore hearsay, i wanna hear from somone with this swap with these mounts. I know theres a few people out there, ive been searching for quite a few days and havnt found anything as to what i just discussed. its been all EG h22 swaps for the most part.
i will use the place racing axles as well, in hopes that they (PR) actually tested the axles when designing them, eliminating reliability problems. -fingers crossed-
