trunk problem on my ap1
just baught this ap1 about two weeks ago....
i noticed the trunk doesnt open with the trunk button...only opens with the key...
i checked the trunk and all i notice it has like 2 harnesses and one is not plugged in..but i dont see any conection for it...
also notice the latch doesnt have any wire attached to it like the hood or trunk of my civic...
all i found when searching was that the trunk and light didnt work turned out being the wiring..in my case the third light works and theres 2 plugs?

Re: trunk problem on my ap1
i tried that now and still didnt open....
i looked up ''s2000 trunk latch'' on google..and it shows a latch with a plug on it..
so im assuming the plug hanging in the picture above is suppose to connect to it..im going to check if mine isint cut
question; do the trunks have the cord that controls the latch?...for example like the hood? kinda looks like the throttle cable? is mine suppose to have that in the trunk?

Re: trunk problem on my ap1
The trunk might have been replaced and maybe someone didn't install all of the parts correctly. Does the VIN sticker on the trunk match the VIN on the car?

Yeah they match...just my latch seems to be broken..and the owner didn't replace it cause he would open it with the key...but I baught a cf trunk and it eliminates the key cylinder so I have to replace the latch before I install the trunk

Re: trunk problem on my ap1
Not really any info...the one I have is seibon..and it eliminates the key cylinder so I won't be able to open it with the key anymore...I heard some people install an emergency button using the same latch incase the stock one stops working because they won't have acess to the the trunk but I still need to read up on how to do that...
