sixth gear gone
My 2000 S2000 has 47000 miles and recently I was going through the gears and could not get it in 6th. It doesn't grind or make any noise at all it just acts like a 5 speed. There is no gate for 6th. Does anyone have any ideas of what may have happened/broken?
All other gears work right without any grinding or poor shifts. I am stumped and my local Honda dealer is also.

Ive just lost 5th gear on my S2000 yesterday. Sounds exactly the same problem you had.
What was the problem with yours in the end? Was it the syncro? and how much did it cost to fix?

Re: sixth gear gone (RacerXI)
Yeah, I sometimes shift from 4th to 6th (to save time) - this shouldn't cause any problems though ?
Honda UK want £635.00 ($1270.00 US) just to take the gearbox out for an initial look !!!
Has anyone had this problem and then had it resolved? If so, what did it end up being?

Re: sixth gear gone (james2000)
skipping gear could cause "mushroom" syncro, and if that happens it would **** block the gear from sliding in and out.
some people save their gear by forcing it back in, sometime it works something you bent a shift fork
honda doesnt just sell syncro, they mate it with the gear
635lb sounds like the ballpark for it, there's tons to work plus you need to lower the motor just to get the darn thing out
