S2000 Spoon Hardtop
Anyone here have any familiarity with the mooncraft spoon hardtop? Looking for a good place to possibly buy one and was wondering also if they come with all the necessary hardware. Any input or additional info would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Look into the Shine Auto replica. They do not come with hardware, the Shine or the real Spoon.

Re: S2000 Spoon Hardtop (honeybadger)
What's that ?.. haha I had the shine top and getting in the trunk wasn't too bad but it was still a hassle because you have to remove two screws holding on the rear part. A friend of mine has a authentic spoon and it just has two clips holding it so its a matter of removing those. I now have a Mugen Replica top and it's a lot quieter and best of all no leaks =]

I think i enjoy my top down too much to put a hardtop on. Maybe if i get another one some day or turn mine into track duty only I would do it.

^what you dont know is that molds start to suck after being used a bunch of time so fitment starts sucking., the difference between companies and their fitment is how many times they replace a mold with a fresh one for consistant fitment

Re: (Black S2K)
well if youre maintaing a good company like shine, you do upkeep your molds. And yes I would know that because i spend a lot of time at shine. Im good friends with the owner and my car happens to be at the shop for some custom work.
its also not somethign sanding couldnt fix

Re: (the s2k dude)
Than ask him about that gap at the windshield =]..
To the answer the question above my shine top didn't leak..with rain.. hand wash.. but one time took it to the car wash oh man whole interior soaked. If you've ever taken the car to a car wash with the soft top you know how it leaks a little bit the shine is like the whole length of the window it leaks.

Spoon H/t ftmfw dude. I love the look it gives the car. I just don't like those windows you cut into it. If mooncraft didn't put them their, they don't belong their IMO. The original mooncraft H/t had the windows the way it's supposed to look.

Re: S2000 Spoon Hardtop (vollrathian)
I know you didn't cut it out. Regardless I think it takes away from the lines of the top. I put weather stripping on mine as soon as I saw the leak between the two halves. As well as between the car and then top.
