Sorry for the noob question guys/girls, but I just bought an ap2 and want to swap out headlights. I really like the headlights from an ap1.
From what I'm reading about ap1-->ap2 the bumper has to be modded, wiring has to be modded as well as you need the ap2 balasts for the headlights.
Does it work the same way for ap2--->ap1? since I'm keeping my bumpers, I just need to mod my wiring harness and I need the ap1 balasts?

The ballasts on the ap2 are alot smaller then the ap1. You can reuse your ap2 ballast as long you can find a way to properly mount it to the bottom of the headlamp. Theres no need for modifying your harness. It's plug and play. I'm sure if you post up your ap2 headlamps complete trade for ap1 complete headlamps, you will get a lot of responses as the popular mod for ap1 owners is the ap2 headlamp conversion.

hey guys sorry i'm new to the forum and i'm not too mechanical either so please don't answer my question in a too technical term...
i was wondering what do you guys mean when you say you have to "mod" the bumper? i mean i know if you want to swap a CTR FD2 bumper onto a Csx Type S you need to do some conversion as the CTR bumper is wider than the csx type S... is that anywhere close to what you guys/girls are talking about?
