Re: (PlusOne)
Well folks, it's been about 5 months since we ordered our One-Fab manifold, and two weeks since the last word from Matt at One-Fab. At that point, he had said that the remaining piece was the wastegate flange. Apparently it hadn't arrived, and if it didn't by thursday of two weeks ago, he would overnight one and get the manifold done. Well, no word from him made me think that he received the flange and had it shipped off. Still nothing though. From the initial 3 week estimate, we're deep into 5 months.
Payment was made in full before the manifold was started, and no refund was possible due to the "custom" nature. We understand that.
Sadly, we have had to make alternate plans, and will now have the manifold built locally, where we can actually get a hold of someone and verify that they are in fact, doing the work.
So if you are looking for work done on any sort of time line, don't go to One-Fab. It's been stressful and ridiculous, and it is now just silly.
Matt, you're fired.

not in a hurry?.... that's putting it lightly. i woudl honestly have beaten someone with a swaybar if i had to wait that long for a manifold, custom or not.

No , it will spool closer to 5000-6000 and be at full boost about 700-1000 rpm later . Do a search ( gt42r) , there are alot of people using the same turbo on built B series motors . Example https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1400230

Re: (PlusOne)
joking. can't say i've seen this turbo on an H22 before. i think someone asked earlier, but how did this turbo end up being chosen? thought this was going to be a street car. not flamin, just asking.
what do you think it will rev to?

Well , I had originally chose the gt40 turbo , and the goal was 600ish hp . I waited and waited for one to become available , but we were running out of time ( haha ) . Kinetic Motorsports had a 42r in stock , and 35s in stock . I was going to have a big 35 built , but when I told the owner of teh car that we were going with a smaller turbo that originated , well lets just say that he was less than thrilled . So 42r it is . This will be strictly a street car , and will see occasional track time . We dont have very many venues available here . I am guessing rpm will be 9000-9500 rpm , but we will have to see what the dyno says .

with out the compressor maps to back up what im about to say i have no idea if it is really true. But it would seem to me that a much smaller turbo could have been used to reach the desired HP goals.. i think that many smaller turbos would fall right in the efficency island and spool much quicker at the presure ratios required to hit 600 + whp... neway good luck im out.

Re: (prelittlelude)
gt42r is more suited for 700+whp on a drag car. gt35r's have seen 600+, the most i've seen is about 650whp. a better choice would have probably been a t3/t67 H.O. since it's mainly a street car. i hope he know that traction is going to be non-existant on street tires on anything above ~15lbs

Nope I fully agree , but this is what he wants . I am sure after a few months of this turbo we will be installing a 35 .
