Default trannsmission leak...sos....sos....

hey guys i dont spend much time in the prelude forum but one of my guys drives a 92 prelude...its an a/t...while he was in dallas eating he came out to his car with a puddle of tranny fluid. he said it was driving fine, no crazy hard bottom outs, etc. I told him to clean it up and pour some more in to see where the leak was coming from...he said it was dripping pretty fast from the are surrounding the drain plug...he said its cracked around the drain plug. I told him to jb weld it and add fluid in the morning so he could drive back to killeen...he said its still leaking...has this happened to anyone else before...and does anyone know where he can find a new bell housing or maybe a junked tranny to take the bell housing off of? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well the JB weld prolly did not take because fluid was still leaking so it was never able to make a clean connection to the metal...

Anyway for getting a new one... Try posting in the FS/WTB thread at the top of this page. Or you could check local junk yards via http://www.car-parts.com
