SRS Light?
Hey I just recently bought a 94 Prelude Si with a JDM H22 swap, and the guy I bought it from told me the SRS light was on and he had no idea why. I figured since I have every SRS part from my old Prelude, then it wouldn't be a big deal if I needed to replace something. Anyway, the SRS light is on, but no CEL, is there a way I can diagnose the SRS light to see what the problem is? Like I said I have a spare airbag, all the wiring, and the computer so if I need to replace something its no big deal. Thanks!
EDIT: I was thinking maybe it could be a result of the H22 swap somehow?

Re: SRS Light? (ZakkWylde)
srs light doesn't throw a cel
best bet is to remove all the components for weight and pull the bulb
but seriously if you read the owners manual the air bag system is supposed to be inspected after 10 years anyway.....i doubt any of us have done that

Re: SRS Light? (Silver Surfer)
So should I just go ahead and replace the SRS computer with the other one that I have? The replacement never had an SRS light on.

you could give it a shot.....no guarentee it will work.....if he messed up any of the sensors during the swap (or even possibly a ground) it could take a while to figure out which one.
I was just saying that we have 1st gen air bags and they are getting to the age where technically they should be inspected/replaced......but that defeats the purpose of buying a cheap older car.
just be careful not to accidentally deploy one of them if you go to working on them
