Prelude is wrecked :'(
So yea I was driving behind a semi truck and I couldn't see over him to see the traffic lights and from wat it looked liked he was slowing down but wen I realized he was at a complete stop I slammed on the brakes and slid into him:/ i am needing to know.... Wat are my chances on this car getting totaled??? I will post pictures but just keep in mind the ones taken under the hood are with my front camera so everything is on the opposite sides

Depends on the adjuster, but that is a decent possibility for insurance to write off instead of fix. It is fixable, just need to have a good contact for body work, as the rad support needs to be fixed properly.

Let this be a lesson. Always give semis more space, since it takes longer for them to stop. Not to mention if you're too close, they won't be able to see you in their mirrors. It could have turned out alot worse.

I second that on the possibility of a total. Preludes unfortunately aren't valued much. And that's an easy $2k in damage if ur looking a dealer rates or even regular rates
I also second not hanging too close to semis. U really don't want to hit one in a Prelude. They're study cars; I got t-boned by a late 70s Ford F250 in a 4th gen.. the door paneling wrapped around the door frame tubes. But they'd fold in a second if a real truck hit em.

Thanks for all the replies! So it's a total loss :/ they claim they see 6k in damages which I know is BS I am confident I can fix it myself for under 2k including a carbon fiber hood the only thing I worry bout trying to find is that radiator support, the fenders and bumpers I'll be trying to get a junk yard or something
