prelude wont rev up
my 94 prelude s has been sitting for about 7 years so i finally decided to fix it , after getting all fluids flushed and trying to start the car i noticed a main relay issue so i re-soldered the relay and then i was getting voltage to fuel pump plug but pump wouldnt prime. i replaced fuel pump with new one and drained the gas tank (lots of rust). i then filled tank with cleaning agent and a diesel/kerosene mixture and let sit for a week then drained. tank was now clean of rust so i put 5 gallons of 93 gas in tank and primed it to the fuel line on fuel filter, replaced filter and injector o rings (leaking). started car everything ran fine, let idle for about 20min checking for leaks and temp readings. all was good. i go down the road and about a mile down the road car starts jerking and bogging like its not getting gas. when sitting still car idles fine but when u try to give it gas it bogs and spits and sputters. i drained tank and pulled fuel pump all is clean, i unhooked fuel rail from injectors and primed the lines, pure gas with no trash floods out, i cleaned injectors and put injector cleaner in fresh 93 gas n put 5 more gallons in car with same results anyone have some suggestions?

Re: prelude wont rev up
could it be the fuel pressure regulator not keeping enough gas pressure on the rail? when i pulled the injectors it had pressure on the rail.

Re: prelude wont rev up
have u tried to reset the ecu? remove the clock radio fuse for about a minute and put it back in. also disconnect battery, then take fuse out, put it back in and reconnect battery. the car may have been sitting so long that battery drained on its own. so this may not help. the ecu makes 100's of adjustments a minute to the air/fuel ratio. by resetting it, it will learn and adjust the ratio from default.
