not sure if I can post here yet, I did the meet and greet, the 2000 prelude I have starts to miss like its hitting the rev. limiter at appox. 4000 rpm. seems the vtec is not working, this only happens once in a while. its all stock.. thanks for all the help

This could be a few things that are wrong kind of sounds like you are in limp mode, but have to ask is the check engine light on? How does the car run besides the missing/vtec issue? To me sounds like you need to tell us some more information before we can start offer ideas and solutions on what is causing this for you.

car has no codes and only breaks up at about 6000 rpm. I have no cluster in it, it is gutted out for a racecar. I only run 2nd gear no higher. I have a salvage yard and I swapped out the vtec soloniod last night, seems to be ok as of now..
