Power steering pump making a wild noise?
1994 Prelude SI H23A1 all stock. I recently changed my serpentine belt and I had to move the power steering pump out of the way to do that. After reinstalling the pump and starting the car it started to make this crazy whine almost sounds like an extremely loud supercharger or something, after a few seconds the fluid starts to aerate and bubbles out of the power steering reservoir. I would assume I put a hole in the hose when I moved the pump however I don't see anything and no fluid is coming out of any hose that I can see. Anything I might be overlooking? Driving the car with the power steering belt off right now, not very pleasant.

it might be best to just replace all the rubber hoses and the other oring that attaches the joint to the pump while youre at it

you need to bleed the system properly and have air in it. remove the cap put a rag around the reservoir, with the car on turn it full left and full right a several times. It will probably be best do jack the car up slight so its easier to turn the wheels back and forth.

I tried bleeding it with the method recommended above, I thought it got better. Then I drove the car for several hundred miles with the power steering belt on, the power steering works fine but the noise is still there. I definitely think air is getting into the system, but I have no idea from where there are no leaks that I can see. I read about the O ring issue, but this started right after moving the pump to change the alternator belt, could I somehow have damaged the O ring by moving the pump?
I am currently driving with the power steering belt off.

If it were me, I'd replace that o-ring. It's not hard to accidentally damage it, especially if it was the original one.

I dont know about that, was just trying to use common sense in that I didn't understand how moving the power steering pump could damage an O-ring. But I went ahead an replaced it anyway, it was $3.48 BTW. Problem is still there, I guess I will do hoses next.

If there are no visible leaks anywhere it's the suction elbow o-ring where the hose comes from the reservoir to the pump. It will pull small amounts of air by without actually leaking since there isn't any pressure there. Another thing I've noticed about 4g Preludes is the swirling turbulence of the fluid in the reservoir, fill the level a few mm above the upper mark, mine sucked air into the system from the funneling of the fluid if it wasn't slightly above the upper mark.
