Default Which platigage should I use...?

I'd like to know which plastigage should I use to ckeck the oil clearance for the main and rod bearings? The reason I ask is because there are red, blue and green ones, I believe.

Thanks.

I believe you look at the stock specs for the motor, and choose the plasi based on that. Each one has its own range of clearances that it will show. Im not sure about the blue... But I believe that the red was tighter than the green plasti, and I believe the green plasti was spec'd between .001-.1 I think..... I havent used it in a couple of months, so take that with a grain of salt, and wait for someone who uses it more often jumps in here :D

Green, But I wouldn't rely on plastigauge alone as its readings can often differ from actual spec. I would also have it sized with a calibrated bore gauge and micrometer to ensure an accurate reading.
