ok, so this goes back to the "h22 is a not a good engine to boost" ****. i always hear that. then someone always says its the ringlands.... well if you are building a boosted motor the right way anyway, wouldnt you have to resleeve and use forged pistons, this will fix the prob wont it? is there any other reason's its a bad choice?...not that its going to change anything now, $6000 later, and i still dont have my turbo or fuel mgmt stuff, but damn its going to be fun

if you plan on doing it right, i.e. re-sleeving, new rods/pistons, etc., then you've got no problems. it's only when you add excessive amounts of boost to the stock H series engine that you run into problems. even with proper tuning, they can't handle it, b/c of the ringlands. but if your going all out, you've got no problems.

That is one seriously large FMIC on a Prelude. How much clearance do you have from the ground. I can just see smashing the bottom on the first speed bump. Good work on the install.

like i said earlier, if i didn't have a body kit that was bigger than the OEM bumper, it wouldn't work. i have about 1.5" clearnce form the bottom of the bumper to the bottom if the FMIC, i am going to get a peice of sheetmetal and bend it so i've got kinda of skid plate underneath to protect it, and also to help sitffen up that fiberglass bumper.

so what Mani is everyone going to use? I really don't like how the max rev places their wastegate flange on the number one runner. I would think that it would make it prone to boost creep. F max is ok but, kind of the same perdicament. Is there a mani out there with a centeralized wastegate flange besides the SFP (which has fitment issues and does not accomodate my turbo TO3/TO4E T60-1)? This is really starting to really suck to go Turbo.

There's nothing out there under $500.00 thats any good. Even over $500.00 it's hard to find anything. I've searched and searched and found nothing.

I've ended up trying the make the thing myself.

i saw a dyno sheet from one once that was like 280 to the front wheels, it was with a lower compression headgasket, and an MF2, it was from an F-Max kit on a 5th gen, H22A4

before i built my motor, i ran a 8.8 8th mile on just a drag gen 2 t3/t4 turbo kit and slicks. ran a 13.9 on slicks as well with missing 3rd gear and a bad oil seal on the turbo.
